In the languages I speak/understand (Dutch, German, French) we just use a word meaning "big", "high" or "long" depending on context.
Ex. A tall person is "grand" (big, large) in French and "lang" (long) or "groot" (big) in Dutch.

Idiotic entry – this is in every language
This is obviously wrong. There are countless languages with the word “tall”, like Portuguese “alto”.
Tall is in enough languages.
I am just saying tall has translation like in german one would say groß
In Chinese, 高 is nearly a direct translation of tall.
