A disparaging adjective used in parts of the North and Midlands of England. Most often and specifically applied to a person who seems overly sensitive to cold temperatures or wet weather. For example, one who is too keen to turn up the central heating, too hesitant to leave the house in winter, or who complains too much about feeling cold. Sometimes more generally applied to any display of weakness of character.
