I teach English to a native Mandarin speaker, and we were making fun of her son's American school teacher who sent an email in which nearly every sentence ended in one or more exclamation mark. "I'm so excited to teach your child! This is so exciting! Yahoo!!!" My student told me she 打鸡血, and described it as someone who feels so excited they feel overly powerful, and want to tell everyone, almost like they are on a drug.
